Nuevo EP - Charlie May vs Sasha

Emotivo tema y excelentes remixes realizados por Sasha / James Zabiela y Kriece. EP que ocupa el puesto n 4 en el chart del mes de noviembre del DJ Argentino Hernan Cattaneo.

Review del sello: Seal Clubbing first began life as a commission for a forensically popular American TV series. But, as is often the way in the DJ world, the track soon found its way into the hands of Dave Seaman, who used it as the Disc 1 opener for his recent Masters Series compilation. The response was instantaneous, being hailed as the standout cut from the entire tracklist amidst a wave of message board banter. The demand was clear – the record simply had to see the light of day.But not before some new interpretations were in the bag – step forward James Zabiela and Tolfrey & Sylvester. There was little question about first choice to remix SC. James Zabiela’s relationship with Sasha is amongst the most famous in dance music, having been brought through the ranks by the Man himself. Now, as James continues to develop his own production career, it seemed fitting he has the opportunity to get to grips with his mentor. The result is a technically flawless ride that incorporates changing bass lines, acid washes and the track’s instantly recognisable riff. Those who were lucky enough to catch James’ recent tour of America will no doubt be familiar as he road-tested the mix as his set opener (it was only just finished on the outward plane ride!).Next up are men of the moment Tolfrey & Sylvester, whose recent productions have been finding favour across the board, from the floors of DC-10 and Cocoon, through to the likes of Gods Kitchen and, of course, Renaissance. Their mix is a haunting house ride with minimalist tones, underpinned by a continuous, growling bass, which will punish the squeamish and relish the chance to tear lesser sound systems to pieces; in short, the type of record you don’t take home to meet the parents!

Renaissance Presents Nic Fanciulli Vol.2

Nuevamente Nic Fanciulli, preparo un excelente mix para el sello Renaissance.

Les dejo el review del doble CD y el link del micrositio en donde podran escuchar un preview de cada track, a disfrutar :)

Here it is in all its glory; 2 CDs of some of the finest house this side of a Sotheby’s property auction. Disc 1, ‘Early Doors’, kicks off with Nic’s exclusive edit of King Britt’s excellent H-Foundation re-work, a record he has featured in his sets over recent years, as he explains, “I tried to keep the balance... deep, but not too boring. I also tried to find a couple of old gems that I used to play.” True to his word, Nic serves up track and remix delights from Francois DuBois, James Talk, Akabu, Fuckpony, Charles Webster and the ever-excellent Ame before signing-off with the highly sought-after Danny Howells mash-up of Coldcut Feat. Lisa Stansfield’s ‘People Hold On’ and Bent ‘Always In My Heart’.Disc 2, ‘Late Night Floors’ sees Fanciulli in full flow. Kicking off with an excellent new intro re-work of his own Tiefschwarz, ‘Damage Feat. Tracy Thorn’ remix, he continues to keep things in-house with Buick Project’s interpretation of Underworld, ‘Vanilla Monkey’. Funk D’Void, Gabriel Ananda, Bookashade and Paul Kalkbrenner are just some of the luminaries who also get to rub shoulders in this expertly segued mix, but the highlights must be saved for the man himself with ‘Lucky Heather’ and ‘Cat Out Of The Bag’. Both were recorded exclusively for the album with ‘Lucky’ undoubtedly becoming one of the summer’s biggest anthems, racing to the top of both The Buzz AND it’s American equivalent, The Balance Chart, a rare achievement indeed.Renaissance Presents Nic Fanciulli Vol.2, without question, one of the most exciting compilations you will hear all year.
